Spiral Filter Fabric

Description

Spiral filter fabrics have a specially designed spiral structure. The spiral meshes are produced from flat ribbon spirals, which are connected to a straight round rod. Due to the special structure of the continuous and seamless spiral, it is very suitable for applications with high mechanical load.

Spiral filter fabric are available in polyester and PPS. Each spiral filter fabric is heat-sett before leaving the factory. The maximum heat-setting temperature is 200 °C, and the fabric can be used for a long time at 150 °C. The spiral mesh belt made of PPS has a maximum temperature of 290°C in heat setting and can be used for a long time at 240°C.

The heat setting treatment ensures the structural stability of the spiral filter fabric, improves the surface flatness, improves the physical and mechanical properties of the fiber, and greatly enhances the service life of the fabric.

Application

The subtle weaving of the spiral filter fabric allows to transport the product over ventilated surfaces without fabric abrasion. The fabric is ideal in filter belts, dryer belts or conveyor belts in product washing& drying, nonwoven forming, and in thermal applications including drying of veneers, manufacturing of gypsum plasterboard or in multi-stage dryers of foodstuff processing, etc.

Spiral fabrics are especially suitable for dewatering of fibrous material (paper sludge, pulp) and sludges with a high content of inorganic particles (e.g. mining sludges), but they can also be used for dewatering of treated municipal sludge.
